Record USB-C display, charging, operating-system, and employer security restrictions for both laptops.
Choose the switching method
Multi-device Bluetooth input can switch separately. A USB switch or KVM may centralize more devices but adds another compatibility layer.
Do not force charging
A dock that charges one laptop may underpower another. Keep the original charger available when needed.
Label the working cable
A simple label prevents the wrong host or charger cable from becoming a daily troubleshooting problem.
